Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office Featured “Monongalia Line”
There are some moments in a project that remind you exactly why you started.
Seeing the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office feature my song “Monongalia Line” on their official website was one of those moments.
That kind of recognition means a lot to me because The Sound of the West Virginia Line was never built to be a surface-level project. From the beginning, the goal has been to create songs rooted in real West Virginia places, real communities, and real respect for the men and women who serve them.
Every county song in this series has been built with that in mind.
Not just a county name in a title.
Not just a slogan.
Not just another post.
The goal has always been to make each song feel like it belongs to the people and places it represents.
That is why this feature matters.
To have “Monongalia Line” placed on the official Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office website is an honor. It tells me the song connected in the way it was meant to connect. It tells me the work, the care, and the respect behind it came through.
This 55-county project has always been about more than music alone. It is about documenting West Virginia one county at a time through songs that carry place, pride, service, and home.
I’m grateful to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office for featuring “Monongalia Line” and for taking the time to recognize what this project stands for.
Moments like this are a reminder that the work is reaching the people it was built for.
