What the Community Is Saying
Cecil Odell Music has grown through real community response, not traditional promotion.
Listeners across West Virginia have connected with the songs because they hear their own towns, roads, landmarks, families, and first responder communities reflected in the music.
Community members have pointed out how the songs capture local routes, courthouse towns, small-town pride, railroad roots, mountain communities, and the everyday work of people who serve.
Sheriff’s offices, first responder communities, and supporters have shared the music as a way to recognize the people who hold the line in roles that are often unseen.
“
Your music is a reflection of your soul, and it shines through so beautifully.

Much respect for all that have done or are currently doing this job.
First Responder Support
That kind of response is why The Sound of the West Virginia Line keeps moving. The mission is not just to release songs. It is to help West Virginia communities, first responders, families, and supporters feel seen.
Real Support for Local Departments
Cecil Odell Music’s mission goes beyond songs online.
One real example is the work done with Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department. Cecil Odell Music wrote and produced a fundraising album for Tunnelton VFD, designed and produced their 2027 calendars, and personally donated a signed guitar to help support the department.
That is the kind of work The Sound of the West Virginia Line was built for. Music, merchandise, fundraising support, community projects, and real-world effort all working together to help honor and support the people who serve West Virginia.
Cecil Odell Music is working toward the long-term goal of building The Sound of the West Virginia Line First Responders Relief Fund. Every contribution helps move that mission forward.
